Careers in nursing
After qualifing in one of the four branches of nursing - adult, child, learning disability or mental health - you'll find that there is further opportunity to progress your career and to specialise. Many of these opportunities will require experience and/or further training.
Community or acute?
Working in the community settings such as a GP practice, clinic, school, walk-in centre or prison is a growing area. However, there will always be opportunities working in acute hospital settings. For example, you could specialise in areas such as outpatients, accident and emergency, operating theatres, neonatal care or neurology.

PROBATION
PERIOD:
1)Candidates
selected for the post of Officer Scale III / II / I will be put on probation
for a period of 2 years which can be
extended for a further period not exceeding 1 year. 2) Candidates
selected for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) will be put on
probation for a period of 1 year which can be extended for a further period not exceeding 6 months.
Note: It
is clarified that Persons with Disabilities will have to work in
Branches/Offices which have posts identified by the Bank as suitable for them.
Candidates
belonging to Reserved Category, including Persons with Disabilities, for which
no reservation has been announced, are free to apply for vacancies announced
for Unreserved category provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria laid
down for Unreserved category.
The
number of vacancies in UR category and also the number of reserved vacancies
are provisional and may vary according to actual requirements of the Bank.
BOND
AMOUNT: Candidates
selected for appointment to the cadre of
Officers have to execute a bond agreeing to pay to the Bank a sum of ` 2,00,000/-(Rupees Two
Lakh only) plus training cost, if any, in the event of their leaving the Bank’s
job within the period of probation. Similarly, candidates selected for appointment to
the cadre of Office Assistant
(Multipurpose) have to execute a
bond agreeing to pay to the Bank a sum of ` 80,000/- (Rupees
Eighty thousand only) plus training
cost, if any, in the event of their leaving the Bank’s job within the period of
probation . This will be in addition to the provisions of
Regulation 10 of Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank (Officers and Employees) Service
Regulations-2010.
