Educational qualification -
(i) For Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200+ GP 1900/- Minimum High School Pass Or its equivalent
 (ii)For Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200+ GP 1900/- Minimum Inter Midiat (10+2)Pass Or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks. ( Subject to availability in Clerical Cadre.) (Authority- Railways bd's letter no. E(NG)II/2015/RC-I/Genl./I dtd- 05.03.2015)
 (iii) Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200+ GP 1800/- Minimum High School Pass Or its equivalent

Note:- Candidates are advised to enclose Xerox copy of certificates duly attested By a Gazetted officer in support of Educational qualification and caste certificate.

 Essential qualification for Scouts & Guides. 
(i) A President Scouts/ Guides/ Ranger/ Rover, OR Himalayan Wood Badge Holder, OR A pre-HWB trained Scouts leader/Advanced Trained Guides/Leader/Captain, and
(ii) Should have been an active member of a Scouts Organization for at least 3 years in the recent past and should continue to be active and
(iii) Should have attended at least one event at National Level and one or two events at State level or should have a good record of participation in Scouts/Guide activities at Unit/District Level issued by Chief District Commissioner/District Commissioner.

Note:- Candidates are advised to enclose zerox copy of certificates duly attested by a Gazetted officer in support of Scouts & Guides qualification as mentioned above. Certificates in support of Scouts & Guides qualification as mentioned in (ii) & (iii) will be required again at the time of interview

Mode of Selection:- (A) Written Test (objective type question as per syllabus given below)= 50 marks (B) Scout & Guide qualification = 35 marks. (C) Interview =15 marks, Total =100 marks.
