Available Positions in DST Research Project


Following positions are available in the DST research grant of Prof. Rajiv K. Saxena, entitled “Uptake and effects of control and target directed carbon nano-particles by differentiating and matured subpopulations of leukocytes in resting and activated states” 
  1. Senior Research Fellow
    Qualifications: MSc in Life Sciences, or related areas with at-least 55% marks and two years research experience preferably with a research publication. NET qualified.
    Preferred experience: Cell culture, Microscopy / Confocal / imaging / Flow cytometry / Molecular Biology
    Salary: Rs. 28,000 + HRA as per rules
  2. Laboratory Assistant / Technician:
    Qualifications: BSc in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Physics / Chemistry or MLT, or Higher secondary school with science subjects and at-lease 3 years of experience of assisting in a research laboratory. Desirable: computer handling skills.
    Duties: To maintain laboratory, project related paperwork, help research students
    Experience of working in research laboratories and handling or research equipment
    Salary: Rs. 15,000 PM Consolidated
  3. Animal Attendant
    Qualifications: Passed 10th class
    Duties: To maintain research mice and rat colonies and helping in animal house and laboratory.
    Salary: Rs. 10,000 PM consolidated
The positions are purely temporary, initially for the period of one year but may be extended to the full duration of the project (till Dec 2018) if the performance of the candidate is satisfactory.
