Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be between 18 to 30 years for UR, 18 to 33 years for OBC, 18 to 35 years for SC/ ST candidates for Group ‘C’, 18 to 33 years for UR, 18 to 36 years for OBC, 18 to 38 years for SC/ ST candidates for Group ‘D’ as on 01-01-2015.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Matriculation or equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate for Group ‘C’, should pass 10th or equivalent for Group ‘D’, should have been an active member of a Scout Organisation for at-least 03 years in the recent past i;e during 2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2014-2015 and should continue to be active, should have attended at least one event at National Level and one or two events at State level or should have a good record of participation in Scouts/ Guides activities at Unit/ District Level for both posts.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in written examination & typing test.

Application Fee: Candidates need to pay Rs. 100/- in the form of Indian Postal Order drawn in favor of Chief Cashier, Western Railway, Church gate payable at Mumbai. SC/ ST, Ex-servicemen, PH, Women, Minority & BC candidates are exempted form fee payment.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates may send their applications in prescribed format along with IPO, 2 recent passport size photographs with their names written at the backside & attested copies of relevant documents in support of age, qualification, caste & experience, in a closed envelope should be superscribed with “Application for Group ‘C’ or Group ‘D’ Recruitment against Scout-Guide Quota for 2014-2015″ to be sent by ordinary post only or dropped in application box at Western Railway, Divisional Railway Manager (E), Near Mumbai Central Terminus Station, Mumbai Central, Mumbai 400008, Maharashtra on or before 15-12-2014 till 17:00 hrs & 29-12-2014 till 17:00 hrs for remote areas.
