The Centre on Geo-informatics Application in Rural Development (CGARD), NIRDPR, Hyderabad, proposes to conduct a ‘Walk-in-Interview’ on 8 th December 2015 at National Institute of Rural Development &Panchayati Raj the following positions in the Project purely temporary on contract basis and co-terminus with the Projects. Posting will be at Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The educational qualifications, experience and the remuneration are indicated below which are as follows.

Name of position:Project Scientist 

Consolidated remuneration (in Rs/pm) :20,000 

Essential qualification: 

1.Minimum MSc Degree in Geoinformatics/Geography/Geology

2.Minimum 2 Years of field experience , related to Agriculture Thematic Map Preparation and data collection

Desirable / Experience:

1.Should have knowledge in ArcGIS/Erdas Imagine/open source GIS

2. Should be well versed with Technical Documentation. 

3. Should have experience in Field Surveys &Research 

4.Having Working Knowledge in the GPS Operations.

Age for the Post should be below 30 years as on the date of Interview. Age Limit:- The age of the candidates applying for the position of technical officer should be 30 years. The age of the candidates applying for the position of technical officer should be as on 31^st October 2015.

Qualification:- candidates applying for the position of technical officer should have first class engineering degree in electronics and communication with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from any recognized institution / university with minimum 2 year post – qualification experience in hardware testing / trouble shooting and maintenance of large VME based control system in power plants.

Selection Process:- The selection of the candidates applying for the position of technical officer will be based on walk – in – interview that will be held at ECIL zonal office, Panagal building ground floor 1A, Jeenis road, Saidapet, Chennai:- 600015 on 18^th November 2015 at 09.00 HRS to 1400 HRS.

Age Relaxation:- The upper age limit of the candidates applying for the position of technical officer is relaxable for the following specified categories to the extent indicated below.

i) By 5 years for candidates belonging to ST communities.

ii) By 5 years for candidates belonging to SC communities.

iii) By 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC communities.

iv) By 5 years for candidates belonging to PH communities.
