National Institute of Rock Mechanics (NIRM) is a premier research Institute dedicated to the development of rock engineering technology based on intense multi-disciplinary research. NIRM is looking for Scientists and Administrative Staff on regular appointment/deputation as detailed under for its R&D activities at its Bangalore & KGF Units. Candidates should possess good analytical skills and scientific temperament, and be willing to work anywhere in India or outside on short/long term project assignments.

(1) SCIENTIST-I .. 2 Posts (UR-1 & OBC-1) Scale of Pay : PB-3 (Rs.15,600-39,100) Grade Pay Rs.5400 Qualifications : 1st class Degree in Mining Engineering. Desirable : M.Tech/ME in the concerned subject Age : Up to 30 years as on 1st May 2015 (2) SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT-I .. 6 Posts (UR-4, OBC-1 & ST-1) Scale of Pay : PB-1 (Rs.5,200-20,200) Grade Pay Rs.2400 Qualifications : B.Sc (PCM)/Diploma in Mining/Mechanical Engineering/Electronics Instrumentation/Technology of three years full time duration or its equivalent from a recognized Technical Board/University. Age : Up to 28 years as on 1st May 2015 (3) TECHNICIAN-I .. 2 Posts (Unreserved/ General) Scale of Pay : PB-1 (Rs.5,200-20,200) Grade Pay Rs.1900 Qualifications : S.S.L.C with ITI Trade Certificate of 2 years duration Age : Up to 28 years as on 1st May 2015.

(4) FINANCE & ACCOUNTS OFFICER .. 1 Post (OBC) Scale of Pay : PB-3 (Rs.15,600-39,100) Grade Pay Rs.5400 Qualifications : Must be a Graduate with ACA/ ICWA/ SAS qualification Experience : A minimum of 10 years experience out of which at least 2 years of work experience in accounting in a responsible position in Govt. departments./ Organisations. The applicant should have experience in computerized environment, be conversant in Tally software, as well as be well versed in Govt. rules & regulations.
