The
National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) –
invites applications for engaging an IT Consultant. The key objective of
NAAC is to promote and assess Quality in higher education. NAAC is undertaking
a massive work for Integrated IT system (ERP for NAAC) development (to be
outsourced), implementation, training institutions to access it, etc. In this
context, NAAC invites the services of suitable persons with IT/technology experience.
The appointment will be on contract basis initially for a period of six months.

it, etc. In this context, NAAC invites application from IT experts with 15 to
25 years of IT/technology experience for enabling NAAC to carry out its
immediate task of end to end IT solution.
The person should have the
qualifications and experience detailed below and be able to define,
measure/assess development, test the delivered software, implementation, advise
on the change management, and on project management.
Qualifications and
experience required:
1. BE/BTech/MS/ME in electronics/CS/IT.
2. 15 to 25 years of experience as a (a) programmer (b)
tester (c) designer (d) implementer (d) project manager (e) life cycle
management (f) requirement gathering and writing SRS .
3. Should have worked with Web Technologies, Databases, and
Java/C etc.
4. Should be able to carry out source code management,
configuration management, and knowledge management.
5. Should have strong skills in project monitoring and
project maintenance.
6. Should have worked in large software companies of the
country at least for 5 years in large projects.
7. Should have capabilitiy to interact with outsourced
agency.
8. Experience in learning, ranking, education technologies
will be added advantages.
9. Should be below the age of 65 years.
Terms
and Conditions of Contract:
·
The
period of engagement – The contract will be initially for six months, after
which it is extendable based on the organisation’s need and the approval of the
competent authority.
- NAAC offers a fixed
honorarium of Rs. 60,000/- + 7,000/- (local conveyance) per month.
·
Leave-
Eight casual leave and two Restricted Holidays are allowed in a year on pro
rata basis (i.e one day’s CL for completion of 45 days duty and one RH on
completion of 6 months). In case the consultant is required to attend office on
Saturday/ Sunday/ Gazetted Holiday, he shall not be eligible for compensatory
leave, conveyance or lunch allowance/ reimbursement in lieu of work done on
such holidays.
·
No TA/
DA/HRA/CCA/Conveyance Allowance, etc. would be admissible for joining the assignment
or during its course or on its completion. The consultant shall not be entitled
to any perquisites such as residential accommodation, etc.
·
The engagement of Consultants
would be on full time basis and the consultants would not be permitted to take
up any other assignment during the period of Consultancy. The consultants may
be required to work on holidays also, if need be, for which no additional
remuneration will be paid.
·
The Consultant is
expected to complete the assignment and not leave it mid way.
·
NAAC reserves the right to decide to cancel this
advertisement, and not to proceed in the matter, at any stage accept or reject
any or all offers, without giving any explanation, whatsoever.
·
Termination
of Contract: NAAC may terminate the contract to which these Terms apply
if:
1.
The Consultant is unable to address the assigned work.
2.
Quality of the assigned work is not satisfactory.
3.
The Consultant fails in timely achievement of the milestones as
decided by NAAC.
4.
The Consultant is found lacking in honesty and integrity.
NAAC reserves the right to terminate
the contract, by giving one month notice to the Consultant.

In case the information furnished by the applicant is found to be
false at any stage, the same will invite disqualification and / or action as
deemed appropriate by NAAC whose decision shall be final and binding.
·
NAAC in line with the prevailing Government policies, procedures
may specify any other conditions/ guidelines as considered appropriate during
the period of engagement of the Consultant.
