Educational Qualification for SSC(Tech)(Men and Women):

Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply. Candidates studying in the final year of Engineering degree course should be able to submit proof of passing by 01 Oct 2020 and produce the Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Such candidates will be inducted on Additional Bond Basis for recovery of the cost of training at Officers Training Academy (OTA) as notified from time to time as well as stipend and pay & allowances paid.

Note. For induction to Pre Commission Training Academy, after final selection, the minimum educational qualification is passing BE/B.Tech degree in the Engineering streams notified below at Para 3. பெய்வதெல்லாம் பருவமழை அல்ல!

பருவமழை பொழிய வேண்டும் என்ற நமது ஆர்வத்தில் சமீபத்தில் பெயத மழையெல்லாம் பருவ மழைதானோ என்ற மகிழ்ச்சியை நம்மிடையே தோற்றுவிப்பது தவிர்க்க முடியாததே. எனவே ஜூன் மாதத்தில் ஆங்காங்கே பெய்த மழை பருவ மழையல்ல என்பதே உண்மை. 

கேரளாவில் பருவமழை தொடங்கும் தினம் என்று கருதப்பட்ட தினத்தில் சென்னையில் திங்கள் மற்றும் செவ்வாயன்று மழை பெயதது. ஆனால் இதனை பருவமழை என்று கூற முடியாது. 

பருவமழைக்கு முந்தைய மழைக்கும் பருவமழைக்குமான வேறுபாட்டைப் பற்றி இந்திய வானிலை மையத்தின் நீண்ட தூர கணிப்புப் பிரிவைச் சேர்ந்த டி.எஸ்.பய் கூறும்போது, “பருவமழைக்கு முந்தைய மழை வெப்பச் சலனத்தினால் ஏற்படுவது, இந்த மழை பொதுவாக வெயில் கொளுத்தும் தினங்களுக்குப் பிறகு பெய்வதாகும். மேலும் இந்த மழை நண்பகல் 12 மணிக்குப் பிறகோ, மாலை வேளைகளிலோ பெய்யத் தொடங்கலாம். ஆனால் பருவ மழை திடீரென தோன்றி திடீரென மறைவதல்ல, நாள் முழுதுமே கொட்டுவதாகும்” என்றார்.

கண்காணிப்பு:

பருவமழை தொடங்குவதற்கு முன்பாக பல்வேறு பகுதிகளிலும் பெய்யும் பலதரப்பட்ட மழையை கணிக்க கேரளாவில் 12 கண்காணிப்பு நிலையங்கள் உள்ளன. இதன் மூலம் காற்றின் திசை, வேகம், மழையின் தீவிரம், விண்வெளி அழுத்தம் ஆகியவை குறித்தே பருவ மழை தீர்மானிக்கப்படுகிறது. 

அளவுகோல்

பருவமழை தொடங்கி விட்டது என்பதை அறிவிக்க இந்திய வானிலை மையம் சில அளவுகோல்களை கொண்டுள்ளது. கண்காணிப்பு நிலையங்கள் உள்ள 14 பகுதிகளில் சுமார் 60% இடங்களில் 25 மிமீ-க்கும் அதிகமாக மழை, தொடர்ச்சியாக 2 நாட்களுக்குப் பதிவாக வேண்டும். 

பருவக்காற்று தென்மேற்கு திசையில் வீச வேண்டும். மேலும் விண்வெளி அழுத்தம் கூடுதலாக இருக்க வேண்டும். காற்றின் வேகம் 16-20 knots (1 Nautical mile per hour) இருப்பதோடு அரபிக்கடலுக்கு நெருக்கமாக நல்ல மேகத்திரட்சி இருப்பது அவசியம் என்று பய் விளக்கம் அளிக்கிறார். 

மேலும் பூமியிலிருந்து வெளியேறும் மின் காந்த அலைகளின் அளவும் பருவமழையின் வரவை தீர்மானிப்பதாகும். 

பருவமழை சீசனுக்கு முந்தைய மழைக்கும், பருவமழைக்கும் மேலும் பல வித்தியாசங்கள் கற்பிக்கப்படுகின்றன. 

பருவ மழை தொடங்குவதற்கு முந்தைய மழையின் போது மேகக்கூட்டம் குத்துக்கோட்டு வசமாக இருக்கும் என்று தனியார் கணிப்பு மையம் ஸ்கைமெட் கூறுகிறது ஆனால் பருவமழையின் போது உருவாகும் மேகத்தில் பல அடுக்குகள் இருக்கும் என்றும், அடுக்குகள் அடர்த்தியாக கடுமையான ஈரப்பதத்துடன் இருக்கும் என்கிறது ஸ்கைமெட்.
