UPSC NDA Exam 2013-14 - Eligibility 12th Std.


Important dates:
  • Submission for NDA Online Application from: 4th May, 2013
  • Last Date for Submitting the Online Application: 3rd June, 2013
  • Date of NDA Written Exam, 2013: 11th August, 2013.

Since Online Application is the Only mode to apply for this prestigious exam, candidates are advised in their own interest to apply well before the last Date ie 3rd June, to avoid any last minute trouble.

UPSC NDA/NA Exam 2013 : Vacancy Details


UPSC had advertised a Total of 350 vacancies for two wings ie Naval Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA).

Here is the Wing-wise break-up of various vacancies.

I. National Defence Academy300 Posts 
  • Army: 195 posts
  • Navy: 39 posts
  • Air Force: 66 posts
II. Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme): 55 posts


Eligibility criteria?

 

Applicants willing to appear in the NDA/NA Exam, must full fill the below mentioned eligibility conditions.It is worth mentioning here that Only Male candidates can apply and appear in this exam

Age Limit: Only those candidates, born between 02-07-1995 to 01-01-1998 can apply.

Educational Qualifications: Educational Qualification Criteria is given below
  • For National Defence AcademyFor Army wing, Applicants must have passed the 12th Class . For Naval and Air Force wings, applicants must have passed the 12th Class, with Physics and Math, as a compulsory subject.
  • For Naval Academy: Candidates falling under the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme.
Note: Candidates who are appearing or awaiting the Results of 12th Class can also apply.

Selection Process: The Selections consists of Written test, which is followed by Psychological Aptitude test and Intelligence Test, SSB Interview.

How to Apply ?

Applicants full filling the above mentioned Eligibility conditions are required to apply Online before 3rd June, 2013.
To Apply Online follow the simple steps given below.
1) Log on to the UPSC Website at www.upsconline.nic.in.
2) The Online Registration involves two steps . ie Part-1 Registration and Part-2 Registration.
3) In Part-1 Registration, you have to fill the basic Details and make the Payment in Online or Offline form.
4) Then, you can proceed for Part-2 Registration. The Part-2 Registration involves, uploading of Photograph and signature
5) After that, you have to click on the "Submit" Button to complete the Online Registration.
